Three Australian Made Soap Brands I Love

australian made soaps I love

If you’re after an Australian made soap which smells delicious and is great for your skin, I’m going to share with you my three favourite brands.

I used to be a loafer and shower gel kinda gal until I considered the landfill cost of my body washing habit.

And while there are natural alternatives and initiatives to recycle beauty bottles, I think starting a new habit is better than trying to fix an old one.

I can’t remember when I started using bars of soap, but it’s certainly been a while because I have my preferred favourites. I even give the soaps as gifts because they smell amazing and they are a cost effective gift idea.

One day I may make my own soap, but for now, I will happily support these businesses who are doing the hard work for me.

Washpool Skin Wellness

Ever since our weekend away to Stanthorpe, Washpool Soaperie has been a firm favourite to order soaps from.

Jacob loves the Shower, Shave and Shampoo bars because they do three jobs in one bar of soap.

My favourite bars are the Geranium and Patchouli Coco-Nut bars and Rose Geranium Palmarosa bar, but I’ve tried the activated charcoal for blemished skin, which really helped.

The soaps range in price from $6.50 per bar but you can buy boxes which can make buying handmade soap more cost effective.

Freshwater Farms

When I haven’t put a soap order in, I grab a bar of the Freshwater Farms Rosewater + Pink Clay soap from Woolworths.

The smell is DIVINE. Even my girls use this soap.

There are a few different soaps to choose from. I love the smell of the Lemon Myrtle and Manuka Honey soap, perfect for dry skin which is common during winter.

Soapy Butter Co

Soapy Butter Co was a discovery during lockdown. I bought a few items here for Mother’s Day and to simply treat myself and the girls.

I loved their Rose Shower Steamers and I’m currently using their Raspberry Lip Balm.

But the Goats Milk and Chamomile soap was awesome for my skin. The scent was faint, but my skin felt smooth after use.
